This psychiatrist and the hospital he worked at then ruined my personal happiness because they abused someone very dear to me!! I hate to write this but its true: Goff was the psychiatrist they saw in Tupelo. the center now has a different name. they put this person on the wrong meds. the client had severe life threatening depression and they had a mean, cold nurse in the hospital who absolutely refused to let the patient have a urinary tract catheter. the antidepressants jan goff put htem on caused a side effect that they could not urinate for at least 9 hours!! the nurse at that hospital there poked thier mid-section and said something cruel and stupid like their bladder is not full!! :( :( well they were in the worst pain of their life which caused them emotional trauma they had to carry w/them for many years! and probably suffered life long bladder/urinary damage from that! They horrible memories, mental agony and bladder torture they had to live w/the rest of hteir life! My family relaly should have SUED GOff and that nurse and that establishment then!! Too often w/stigma against psychiatric conditions like depression the peopel in the health care proffession think that punishment is the cure for depression which is of course the absolute worst thing a serverely depressed person needs. They need compassion! The patient died not long ago and I am filled w/angst and anger at what happened! NO apology or even a refund I believe was given for the torture /cruelty/uncaring they put my Beloved through!!
I am not saying that this dr hasnt helped others or could not ever help anyone, Im relaying that my Beloved was in his care in that awful facility and this tragic painful incident should never have happened! :( :(
