Living in NYC, I have seen a lot of bad doctors, but this was a whole new level of scarry.

I called on a weekday in the morning and was able to make an appointment same day. I arrive to a small and very very hot waiting room and have to wait for an hour. Then I have to wait while the doctor (she has no receptionist or nurse) manually enters my insurance and health history. Which wouldn't have been too terrible if she had been remotely computer literate. I have no problems with experienced physicians but this woman was well overdue for retirement. I had to repeat everying 2-3 times because she seems to be hard of hearing.

So 25 minutes later after the form is filled out, she begins examining me. I came in with a stomach ache so I was confused when she continued to examine everything but my stomach. She then prescribed an antiacid eventhough I have never had heartburn. No explanation given.

After the exam I asked if I could put my co-pay on a credit card...but of course she doesn't take credit cards.
