I've been a patient since 2013. In that time, my doctors have turned over twice. I saw Dr Matut (who left), then Dr Nicole Underwood (who also left) and then finally Dr. Margaret Durante. In the past, I have received a Skyla IUD. This time around, I was told the practice does not participate in a "buy and bill" method in which the practice purchases the device and bills the insurance company. This was obviously not the case in 2014. When I called my insurance to inquire, I learned West Care Medical is contracted with EmblemHealth for this "buy and bill" program. West Care Medical is in direct violation of that agreement and has lied to me repeatedly that they are not. I have reported this West Care Medical to my insurance company to take action. I have been a loyal patient, even after all of the turnover, for the last 4 years. This blatant disregard for patients by NOT honoring their agreements and LYING to patients is completely unacceptable. I do not recommend this practice, so please beware before booking an appointment there.

They didn't tell me anything about my treatment options. I left feeling very confused and frustrated. I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment. They were running really behind and I was disappointed because it threw off the rest of my day. They were extremely argumentative and became angry very easily. I was trying to explain my situation and they just contradicted everything I was saying before I could finish. I did not feel safe at all in their care. I definitely had doubts about their qualifications. I don't feel like I can count on them to work with me until they find a solution for my situation. They always seem like they're going to give up on me.
