I have Crohn's Disease and it was highly active. I explained to him that ever since I was a child, the blood tests never accurately portrayed the level of inflammation that I actually had. He looked at all of my records and agreed. Unfortunately, he did not treat the illness that way. Instead of giving me the treatments that had worked for me before, he kept insisting on giving me meds for irritable bowel. This didn't work. I ended up getting hospitalized several times and while I was there he would basically just pump me full of pain meds and send me home. Not what I wanted. Eventually, I ended up getting in an argument with him over my treatment and he told me he could no longer be my doctor, which was fine because I had already been looking for a new one (which I found... and he's amazing). When I went to pick up my records, I found out that they had lost all of my records that I had given to him from my childhood (ages 13-19), so I had nothing about the surgery I had had or my initial info from my diagnoses. When I called and tried to track them down, they said they couldn't do anything about it.
