EducationRandy Jacobs has served as the director of Bend Memorial Clinic Urgent Care Department since his move to Bend in 1996. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Jacobs graduated from the Univ. of Kansas School of Medicine in 1972, and completed a family medicine residency at the Univ. of Washington in 1975. He served with the National Health Service Corps in White Salmon, Washington 1975-78, then practiced emergency and family medicine in Port Townsend, Washington from 1978 1996.
Dr. Jacobs is on the Disaster Response roster of Medical Teams International, and has served in United Nations refugee camps in Uganda in 2007 and 2009. In his free time he offers a weekly afternoon clinic for residents of the Shepherds House, a local homeless shelter
