A specialist in peripheral vascular disease, Dr. Brian H. Negus joined The Chattanooga Heart Institute from private practice in Gainesville, Georgia, where he also served as director of the cardiology laboratory at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He received his doctor of medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He conducted his fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he then served as assistant professor of medicine in the interventional cardiology section. Dr. Negus’ work with research has included projects conducted at the Medical College of Georgia and Parkland Memorial as well as at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases, he is a member of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society. In addition, he is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association.
