I was very disappointed in my experience with Dr. Barr. I have been having some chest pains, as well as pain in my joints over a period of time. Dr. Barr spent approximately five, possibly ten minutes with me. In that time, he did NOT listen to my heart, initially offered me sleeping pills (I do not have trouble going to sleep or staying asleep, I just have so much going on, I work late into the night so I don't get much sleep). When I said my sister (an R.N.) suspected I might be having anxiety, he did not listen to my heart, but offered me antidepressants. I wanted a doctor that MIGHT actually do a blood workup so I'd know what my cholesterol was, if I might have the same autoimmune issues my sister does, etc. He did not order one test, just told me to get some more sleep. I was very disappointed in my experience, sat in my car and cried for the wasted time and money. I was able to schedule an appointment with a different doctor later that afternoon who is actively trying to find out why I feel like I do. I cannot recommend Dr. Barr whatsoever.
