Dr. Steigerwalt’s special interests consist of Resistant Hypertension and Secondary Hypertension, including Renovascular and Primary Aldosteronism. Her active research areas are Improved Adherence to Hypertension Regimens in Women and Progression of Chronic Kidney Disease. She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Hypertension in Blacks, American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Hypertension, Renal Physicians Association, Kidney Council, American Heart Association, and Physicians for a National Health Program, Past President and Board Member.

The clinic is located on a quiet safe street with on-site parking; it is close to major hospitals making it convenient to get in and out without any difficulties. There are three female physicians on site, we offer flexible hours with early morning appointments. We also offer on-site stress testing and other services being very close by. The office is attached to the forthcoming DaVita Dialysis Center, and one block from the St John Assisted nursing facility, the St John Hospital shuttle bus serves the facility, and patients can use to come from and to the hospital.
