My brother was sent to Cherry Hill for acute care rehab after a severe stroke that left him with no feeling on his entire left side. He couldn’t do anything without assistance. The immediate staff (nurses, CNAs, and PTs) were all very good. The biggest issue we had was with the administration/mgmt - they were very unkind and not at all compassionate considering what the family was going through. They started asking (sometimes in front of my brother) when they would be moving him to another facility because he couldn’t stay there - he needed to be in a long term care facility. They made him feel like a burden rather than a patient and instead of encouraging him that there was hope - they took it away. There was also a lack of staff and took quite a while for anyone to respond to calls - at lunchtime they had no staff available to answer calls because they were delivering and picking up food trays. My brother was in pain one day during lunchtime and it took 45 minutes to get a response. The food was always cold. When the day came for my brother to be moved to his new facility the administration had arranged for an transport ambulance to transport him, but he was not able to be moved because he had to be in a special wheelchair that wouldn’t fit in transport van that administration had ordered. Because it was a Friday - they had to wait until Monday. I could go on about the lack of care at this facility- all I will say is that I hope that no one else has to go through the pain and suffering my brother and our entire family has gone through in the past few months.

we want to thank you and your staff the care you gave to my brother neil diner during his stay at your nursing home you all were so great for the care you gave to neil and his family and me if anyone in our family needs a nursing home in the further you guys will be number one on our list and any one looking for one you should be first on there list the place is so clean it does not smell like a nursing home like I have been in the past all your staff treated neil like he was part of your family and what you guys did for us was above and beyond words thank you all from the bottom of our hearths

Sometimes, but most of the time they aren't

Not at all! I had to schedule an appointment for absolutely everything!

Definitely, they had one person trying to do everything

Yes, but it seemed extremely out-of-date
