Mother was put in the rehab wing from the local hospital. She was almost septic from a UTI. This facility is the worse place she's been. She has slight dementia and doesn't ask for help. The food is horrible and not adjusted for her being diabetic. They've let her soak her diaper all the way through to clothes MULTIPLE times even when we asked her to be put on restroom check every 2 hours. They only brought water around 2 times a day. Had to ask for them to bring more often. She has played in the bed soaked in urine MULTIPLE times. One day we came in at 12:20 pm still in bed a soaked up to her back in urine. The therapy hasn't done hardly anything for her. Therapist just said well she just dilly rallies in the morning so we just move on. She had never had a bed sore while being at home with our caregivers. But, she's got a red spot on her buttocks from them NOT following orders of getting her up to the restroom. They only get baths 3 times a week. Doesn't matter if you've played in your urine all night. Really sad that your family members can't get proper care in a place that's suppose to provide patient care. She will probably have another UTI because of her sitting in urine soaked diapers for hours. SAD, SAD. If I could've put a negative review I would have.
Everything I told them seemed to go in one ear and out the other. I caught them putting my grandmother to bed with her teeth in and in her clothes 3 times in a one week period. One time I went at 12.03 A.M. to check and she had her glasses on in bed with her clothes on even shoes on and was laying on her upper set of teeth and had her bottom teeth still in. There were two aides that were outside smoking when I got these standing outside the front and it justso happened that one was the one that was assigned to her hall. I called the administrator and left a message and he never returned my call, even after 3 days later. Then when I removed her from Heritage and took her to another nursing facility they tried to cover it up and were rude. Still waiting on that return phone call from young administrator!
