This nursing home is poorly ran. They do the bare minimum in taking care of their residents. The smell in the behavioral unit horrific. They bring food trays a hour before meals. The trays are not in a hot cart. By the time they are passed out which is about 2 hrs of sitting without being in a warmer. The food is cold. I seen residents take others food. I seen a man smashing food in his own face trying to get it to his mouth. They have several residents in this unit that need to be fed but only 2 people to feed them.
Clothing and personal items were always missing. I do understand residents go in rooms and takes things at times. I feel like it was coming more from the staff. Items were never found. If a resident took clothing or if it was in laundry. It would eventually show back up. All items were marked with a permanent marker.
Resident care. There wasn't much of it. The home had an odor and so did the residents. This is a behavioral unit. They should be trained in how to deal with all kinds of different behaviors. They were not. Even the nurses weren't. They had no activities to keep them busy.
Yes there was a few employees that genuinely cared. After having to pull most of the load for a long period of time they would quit.
No I would not recommend this place for your loved ones.
