I was placed at LEV bldg 3 in 2012 and was a resident there for one year. This is a facility specifically for the long term care of seriously mentally ill people. I was fortunate to have a case manager who worked tirelessly to help me reach my goal of finding an assisted living facility that was safer and more appropriate for me. While I appreciate that these places serve a purpose, Life Enhancement Village of the Ozarks is quite realistically "hell on earth"...Or at least in Missouri. Many residents suffer horribly at the hands of staff or fade away as a result of acute neglect. The general conditions, medical care, mental health services, diet and medication regimens are all grossly inapropriate and dangerous. The one positive experience I took away from LEV was the strengthening of spirit I received through my interaction with and relationships formed with fellow patients who proved to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that even in absolute despair and utter destruction of mind...Love conquers all.

They would never do that! Their full attention is always on me.
