For the most part, I would say my experience was wonderful. The nurses were knowledgeable and caring. The aides, except for 1 whom I reported, were sweet and kind and compassionate. Each one was a ray of sunshine in their own way and brought their own special gifts to their demanding and taxing job. I can truly say that I miss them. The maintenance staff, the kitchen staff, the cleaning staff etc. were attentive and thoughtful. Everyone did their best to respond to personal requests such as lowering or raising the room temperature, bringing extra blankets and making your eggs just the way you want them. Finally, the Physical Therapists were, by far, the BEST part of McAuley. They are the heart and soul of what could be a miserable experience. You will not find a better team of therapists - anywhere. They worked long and hard with me as I recovered from a trauma injury. Pushing me when I needed a push and bringing me back to my room when I'd had enough for the day. They always knew just the right thing to say at just the right time. I feel fairly qualified to review McAuley because, due to surgical complications, I was a resident there from July 2017 to November 2017. To give you an idea of how long my stay was, consider that the vast majority of patients are there for 3 - 7 days. In conclusion, if God forbid, I should ever need residential therapy, I will return, quite happily, to McAuley, my home away from home.

I recently was here for a week post total hip. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. The therapy brought me back from a lump in a chair to being able to navigate my 4 level home, and caring for myself alone. I only wish I had written down the names of the wonderful people who helped me, so I could give specific credit to them. Thank you to them all!
