My Dad was only there for less than a week treated inhumanely,staff fogot to feed him several times,had no clue how to do his wound care on his recent amputation,left him freezing in his room,refused to answer his call light or calls for assistance or his room mates call for staff to help my dad.When he fell out of his bed & his room mate called 911 he was found to be unresponsive,he was an insulin dependent diabetic and his blood sugar was so dangerously low that it would not register.The Physicians at Muskogee Regional Emergency Room said he must have been that way for some trime because he was left with irreversible brain damage.My Mother went to the District Attorney's office and he couldn't
help her.She called Adult Protective Services And they refused to help her. He did not return to Pleasant Valley.He passed away yesterday and I just wanted to speak out although no one will care or listen or do anything.But a very good kind man that always treated everyone he came into contact with was not shown any dignity or respect or common decency shown to even a dog.Pleasant Valley stripped him of his decency and respect.And although I am the one begging god for forgiveness everyday for allowing my Dad to be a resident in your facility for a week in the skilled unit that Medicare funds and pays big bucks for,it is your own staff that should be ashamed and unable to close their eyes at night without seeing my dad's face and hear his pitiful crys for help go unanswered.Someday many will have to answer for this and not to me or my mothewr or my dad but to someone that will demand an answer and deliver the deserved treatment necessary.Shame on all of you involved and also the ones that just kept quiet. it is happening to others there also.Does anyone care?
