WOULD HAVE KILLED MOTHER IF SHE STAYED A FEW MORE DAYS !!!!!!
Doctor Becker saw my mother when admitted and last day when released for a total of maybe ten minutes each visit. Living in Florida my only lifeline was communicating with the head nurse Mary Esley. My mother was in Chester County Hospital for ten days due to a fall, fractures on her pelvis, also diabetic and then sent to St Martha's Rehabilitation Center. Release papers from CC hospital were explicit with meds and follow up regarding her stay there of ten days. She had been treated for a UTI due to catheter with continuation of meds for four days @ St Martha's. My mother was at St. Martha's for 20 days at which into second week I had asked head nurse Mary to ask doctor for a simple urine test to make sure UTI was out of her system. Never done and two days after release she was brought back to ER @ CC hospital for chronic UTI turning toxic, dyhdration, water in the lung which is onset of pneumonia. Her legs were twice the normal size because St Martha's never elevated her feet which is common knowledge and 101 in nursing school. Her water levels in body were 285 with normal readings to be around 80, which in two days @ CCH she dropped 10 lbs from excess water. Many intense treatments, along with ct scan, echo, lung xray, blood work from CC hospital to rectify my mother's deteriorating condition from her stay @ St Martha's. Also not once was her diabetes checked!!! she was deprived of water, sat in dirty diapers which were needed because of her fractured pelvis and could not sit on toilet. I also had to call to make sure she was put back on her Xaralto because stopped for internal bleeding. She had not!!!!!! The nurse said "well she is under our doctor's care now". Told nurse if my mother does not have her blood thinner in her room in the next 30 minutes, that I would be on the next flight. Could go on and on!!!! Please, if your loved ones are as important to you as my mother is to me FIND ANOTHER REHAB FACILITY, there are many to choose from. Also it's important to know that one of her nurse's robin along with one aide Rosemary were fired from Tellhide Rehibilitation Center in Honeybrook. Good luck with the care you need for your loved one and STAY CLEAR OF THIS HORRIFIC CENTER, it's a disgrace!!!!!!
just another self serving, empty promises PLACE And one of the receptionists should be fired, she's SO nasty among folks that are struggling. They also are RIPPING a poor family off at the end.
