Cant speak for woman since I am a guy, but hairmasters do not seem to understand how to cut a mans hair very well. I have given them a try several times throughout the years since they are the located close to my home, but last night is honestly the last time going. Every time I leave, my hair is always awkwardly cut and I end up having to get it fix somewhere else. Even when I brought multiple pictures, they always end up cutting COMPLETELY different from what I wanted. Also, I have some guy friends who also tried them out in the past and always came out unhappy with the outcome.

Last night, I decided to go in just for a small trim, nothing too much, which I thought would be easy enough. I stated clearly that I was growing my hair out to single length and did not want the top to be touched, all I wanted was a slight cleanup on the sides and back since they tend to get bushy. Not even 3 minutes in, she immediately begins cutting the top. You can imagine my frustration when I literally just told her a few minutes ago NOT to do that. She ended up taking off about half an inch to a whole inch 1/2 all throughout my hair, completely changing my whole style and giving me a very layered cut. I really regret going, I was very close to achieving my medium length hairstyle and within minutes she ruined what took me a 3 months to grow. The barber appeared to not know what she was doing, and when i asked for an opinion her only response was "I don't know", she did not even put an attempt to answer my questions and I feel she lacks not only experience but passion for her job. She did not even seem to know what hair wax was when I asked, and put no effort into even styling my hair after she was done cutting.

Overall, if you are a guy, really reconsider coming here if you have a specific request or style inmind. If you are feeling adventurous, then this place may be for you. Prices are higher than normal, which gives me the impression that this place was intended more for woman who want to get the works. For basic cuts which guys usually get, save your money and go somewhere else.
