My mother( Phyllis May) was recently a patient of Community Hospice of Ashland, Ky She was a patient for approximately (2) months. Our family was both pleased and greatly disappointed in the service.
The Nurse(Amber) that was assigned to our mother was outstanding in her work. She was caring, compassionate and very professional. She managed our mothers medical needs with the upmost care. The Social Worker (Jamie) was also caring, compassionate and also very professional. There are not enough words to express our gratitude for these two ladies.
We however was very disappointed and dismayed at the lack of care that we received during the days that these two ladies were off duty. We did not receive the help that we needed during this time. There were no visits in our last days or phone calls unless the calls were first placed to your company by the family. Also there were misrepresentation of your company (nurse who led our family to believe he was a nursing supervisor). It was not our mothers wish that she be taken to your facility for any type of treatment, however this same misguided gentlemen tried to get my mother to do so.
Again let me be completely clear. Our family was completely satisfied with Amber the assigned nurse and Jamie the assigned Social Worker. Their care, and compassion meant a great deal to our family.
