Underbite

An underbite occurs when the bottom teeth protrude past the top teeth. The condition can occur when the bottom or top jaw is overgrown or if missing upper teeth cause the jaw to recede. The underbite can cause teeth to function and wear improperly. Underbites can cause pain in the jaw and the temporomandibular joint.
