My family has been bringing our pets to this clinic for years, and I have only had good experiences. Dr. Fletcher and his staff are professional and courteous, as well as compassionate towards our pets.

If there were an option to give a negative star, then that is what I would choose here. I sent my dogs to be neutered and this outfit was dishonest with their estimate, adding on to it the cost of anesthesia (which we assumed was part of it anyway), and the claim that they were "large" dogs, when the clinic had been informed of breed and age in advance. They also tried to peddle these outrageously priced heartworm prevention injections, going so far as to LIE about the safety, efficacy, and applicability of the other,most common treatment. Worse, this vet also lets his wife answer the phone and act like SHE is somehow qualified through marriage to give professional advice. Maybe that wouldn't be so bad, but she actually yelled and lectured me--all with the intention, as it turns out, of peddling that expensive and needless product from them, taking the phrase "hard sell" to a grotesque new extreme. They absolutely panicked when we asked for a detailed receipt, and the vet "called me on the carpet" about it, then added everything up on a little scrap of paper, only to ask sarcastically, "Will this do for a receipt?" I have NEVER consulted such an unprofessional in my life, in ANY form of serious commerce that I have engaged in. A detailed receipt is, in this particular case, is of fair importance since I got them rabies shots and if they got lost, or bit someone, I could at least relieve their minds that they weren't going to get rabies from the bite. Also, no detailed receipt to show my father exactly what he paid for, and they did not give dog tags to put on the dogs to show they had their rabies shot either. When we, with extreme dread, called back to ask them to mail us some dog tags, they had the temerity to suggest that we drive the FIFTY MILES back to pick them up!
So, what is my assessment? Lazy, stupid, greedy, dishonest, incompetent, disorganized, rude, and arrogant LIARS bordering on sociopaths who believe that they are smarter than EVERYBODY else they meet, so they can just say and do whatever they want, and people will swallow it. Maybe that attitude is a bit more acceptable when the person IS a genius, but thia veterinarian, in particular, was the most stupid doctor I have ever met. He LIED to me, and so stupidly, that I caught him at it, but he was too stupid and arrogant to see that I was on to his lies.
I shall do my best to see that this clinic is put out of business. The whole atmosphere of the place gave the impression that there was something illegal going on behind the scenes. Perhaps it is a front for money laundering? Or maybe they just don't want to do receipts so that they can cheat the IRS. Whatever it is, we are reporting them to the authorities, including the sheriff, who might be interested in those Schedule III drugs; and the IRS, who might want to check their books, since they LOATHE to give receipts; and the professional veterinarian society, who might want to know how and why they are lying about drugs that are safe and efficacious, but, inconveniently for avaricious veterinarians, dirt cheap, all so that they can frighten pet owners so that they can peddle drugs that cannot reasonably be seen to be as safe as the others, since this drug has not yet passed the test of time AND they pose more dangers since they are iinjections, and of course, far more expenisve than the older drugs that work perfectly well!
Like I said, stupid, because the first step to stupid is to take on the assumption of greater smarts than everyone else, when really, you live in BUNKIE, and have a lousy degree from LSU that a monkey could read for. That is all well and good, until the pet owner in your clinic is not only a MINISTER who does not approve of screaming, lying, stealing, greed, arrogance, bullying, not to mention dirt, but who is also a minister who attended Harvard as a guest while getting her ministry degree at Boston University. Methinks, however, that degrees from first-rate universities or not, people are not as stupid as this "doctor" believes them to be.
In the final analysis, we were left wondering what this outfit plans to do with our dogs' testicles...
