Waste of time and money. Dog was throwing up for 2 days. Weekend vet never examined my dog, had no idea what was wrong and I was only presented with option A and option B papers, each hundreds of dollars which they wanted me to sign before they would even do any testing. Left with a small bottle of Flagyl antibiotic and they have most of my social security check for the month that I needed to live on. I have been trying stuff I read online and after two weeks dog is finally not throwing up anymore, but still isn't quite right. No money left to go to the regular vet until next month. I am angry and fed up with the veterinary profession. No one cares about the animals anymore, just how much money they can get out of you with as little effort as possible.

We've had several experiences with this clinic over the years, mostly with Dr. Rose. This time Dr. Rose didn't bother step over to the examining table or put his hands on the dog to see exactly what was wrong. She plainly had a distension and swelling on one side of her muzzle with an elevated temperature. He prescribed an eye med and sent us home. We paid a $69 exam fee and our dog was not examined. (And this was not the first time.) Looking at a sick animal from 2-3 feet away and making a couple of possible diagnosis isn't much of an exam. So it was back to our regular vet the next day to get to the root of the problem and get her proper treatment.

Having an emergency after hours clinic is a great service, and while improvements have been made, I only go there when the situation is appears dire. It's too bad the clinic owners don't take the many reasonable, justifiable complaints about this vet more seriously. These vets don't practice like this so why do they keep a vet on who does? It will probably take a lawsuit to get their attention. But here's an idea that can be put into place immediately: call the exam fee for what it is: "the price for walking through the door."
