This used to be a fabulous place to bring your pets back when Dr. Wilcox was alive. However, since his passing it was sold to another vet sometime around 2018 and the office staff, Patricia, is very rude. I needed to get records for my dog from 4 1/2 years ago but the records just said "exam and puppy vaccs" - no details, no vitals, nothing (not acceptable by my pet insurance company). When I asked Patricia for the details, she went on about how they had a new tracking system and because it was over 5 years since I'd been in they didn't have to keep the records. I told her it had only been 4 1/2 years and they are legally required to keep the records for 5 years. She then argued and said they're only required to keep them for 3 years. Wrong. Colorado law requires 5 years. She then said that I had obviously been given the records at the time of my visit and I should look for them. I told her I didn't have them from 4 1/2 years ago which was the reason for my call to her. She then tried to say that Dr. Wilcox had taken the records with him. Wrong. The family is a personal friend of mine and he died and all records were sold with the practice. Then Patricia tried to say that they had a new medical system and that was all that was entered. She obviously either didn't want to look or didn't know how. When I called back not 2 minutes later, she said that Dr. Byrne had "found" the records and she'd send them to me. I haven't gotten them yet but, even if I do receive them, Stockton Pet Hospital needs to find a more honest, friendly, and knowledgeable person for the front desk. I will definitely not be doing business with this place again. Such a shame to take a wonderful practice and run it into the ground.
