About
Dr. Salib started VSA Animal Hospital in 1999, and has over 30 years of experience as a doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) - first in Maryland and now in Florida. In 1978, he completed his residency and internship in Washington, D.C. and received his license to practice veterinary medicine in Maryland. He continued to practice in Maryland until 1992, when he decided he had enough of the cold weather and moved with his family to South Florida. He continued working at animal clinics throughout South Florida and was also the resident veterinarian for PetSmart in West Palm Beach. Finally, in 1999, he decided to be his own boss and opened VSA Animal Hospital at its current location.

Our comprehensive services include the following:
Preventative Care: We focus on disease prevention through regularly scheduled visits and proper nutrition, vaccination, and parasite control.
Internal Medicine: Of course, we are here to help diagnose and treat your pet's medical or surgical condition; using our 25+ years of experience and state of the art diagnostic equipment.
Dermatology: We offer diagnosis and treatment of dermatological conditions, allergy testing, and flea and parasite control.
Diagnostic Services: To provide high quality service to our patients, we offer on site Radiology and Sonography as well as a comprehensive Laboratory services with a quick turnaround time.
Cardiology: Specific to cardiology related conditions, we also make use of electrocardiography (EKG), blood pressure evaluations, blood oxygen saturation, and echocardiography imaging.
Dental Care: As with humans, dental health is a critical aspect of caring for your pet. We provide routine dental cleaning and polishing and are able to also treat dental diseases and infections should they occur.
Surgery: Dr. Salib has over 30 years of experience in the operating room (OR), and is able to perform routine, orthopedic, and reconstructive surgical procedures on site. For increased patient safety, our surgeries are performed using equipment to monitor vital signs.
Boarding: You can also feel safe leaving your beloved pets with us when you leave town. We offer full A/C boarding and are on site every day to feed, walk, and care for your pets.
To accommodate these services, our exam rooms are designed for efficiency and patient comfort. Our operating room is equipped with a state of the art fluid administration system, gas anesthesia machine, and vital signs monitors for maximum patient safety. Our imaging capability (ECG, Sonography, and Radiology) as well as comprehensive, quick turnaround laboratory services are essential for ensuring excellent outcomes for our patients.
The hospital also has 15 available spaces for boarding. We continuously clean the hospital and your pet's quarters to ensure the highest health and safety standards. We also have security cameras on site that are monitored remotely on a continuous basis.
