Although Dr. Shewmaker has been in practice in the area for years, he is not very good with small animals, in fact I know of many who have lost their family pets due to misdiagnosis, insult to injury is the cost, I had a horrible experience with his office myself, almost losing my pet as well. Again due to misdiagnosis, it is almost an "I don't care attitude", as long as he gets the money, why should he care about the pet, or your wallet for that matter. I am disgusted about this, as well as the other stories and encounters I have heard and come a crossed, it is time to retire, Dr. Shewmaker, sell your office, enjoy life. The pet public would greatly appreciate it.

This is last LAST place on planet earth you ever want your sick/injured animal to end up.Dr.Shewmaker is incompetant,unethical and lacks any common decency.His wife Shirley is a two-faced liar and will do whatever it takes to keep you from your dying animal,to the point of telling you they will be closed for 2 days,when you know your animal is at deaths door.Dr.Shewmaker made me pay up front,$526.00,for a service that was NEVER rendered.He then called me a week later,saying how he needed 500 more to amputate.Dr.Shewmaker seemed to think he was giving me a deal.He was too stupid to initially care for my cat's's infected paw.My cat died in my car,as a result of Dr.Shewmaker's negligence,on the way to a reputable animal hospital in Hollywood.Shewmaker Animal Hospital is by far THE WORSE OF THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
