I went to this group with a knee injury. Their walk-in clinic saw me within 24 hours which is very convenient. I had heard good things about the Sports Medicine doctors. I believe the doctors are all well trained and qualified but once I had my initial visit, I felt like I was somehow "sucked into their system." My first invoice came in days and they seemed to be much more interested in my money than my health from that point. On the third visit, the surgeon recommended a procedure to correct my injury as well as several "add ons" that are not covered by any insurance, which he did tell me up front. They also scheduled me at their own outpatient surgery center and demanded full payment in advance even though they accept my insurance (United Healthcare). This would have increased my out of pocket by more than $6000.00 and this was in addition to my deductible. My issue is more about the business office than the doctors. Just make sure you ask questions about where they will do the procedure/surgery. You can request the same doctor see you at Memorial, etc. and it will save you $$$. I went to another Group with an equally well qualified surgeon. He gave me a much more thorough diagnosis. He did the procedure at Erlanger East and I am feeling great, walking fine and very happy with my decision to look elsewhere.
