Kindred-North Haven has cared for 4 of my family members. My father in 2002, my aunt in 2005, My mother-in-law 2003-2013 and now my mother since Oct 2012. I would not allow my family to reside anywhere else. The care is excellent. The staff keeps the family informed of all status changes of the patient. They also offer physical therapy here along with group activities like; bingo, crafting, etc. There is a hair salon on site, a foot doctor to trim toe nails. They have thought of everything, even the things that family usually does not think about. They launder the resident’s clothes on site. The meals are prepared on site and are tasty, not bland. The rooms are a good size. Most rooms are double, 2 beds and 2 dressers, 2 small personal TV’s, 1 closet, 1 restroom. The beds can be adjusted to a height of only a few inches off the floor so to reduce injuries from falls during the night. They also have a lovely courtyard with flowers for the patients to enjoy. Before placing my father here I visited ALL the local in patient care residences and Kindred was the only facility that when I entered I was not overcome with smell of urine and feces. The bedridden patients at this facility are changed and cleaned regularly so there is no offensive odor to tolerate. Kudos to all the staff here!
