I waited a very long time for a prescription for canine food while the doc had been out for a few hours on a call, he had returned to the clinic for a brief moment when he could have taken ONE MINUTE to call my dog's prescription over to another clinic that had the food, but instead he went home to shower and when I asked the staff if he'd be returning soon, they answered yes. After three hours I called back and the doctor had not come back yet to the clinic. Sometime during this three hour wait, it is fully my impression his staff should have called his personal phone so he could call in a food prescription for my dog, again, that they knew had not eaten for over 4 days!!! After another 2.5 hours and as I drove to the clinic 40 minutes away that carried the prescription food that my dog needed, I waited another 15 minutes in my vehicle before deciding to call the clinic, once again. I was told at that point that the doctor was busy seeing other patients and that he would write me a prescription I could pick up , but I was already at the other clinic 40 minutes away, as they knew I (should be). After about 10 minutes my prescription was called in and I got my dog's prescription food.

When I returned home I picked up another hand-written prescription from them just so life would be easier if I found another source for food that was not 40 miles away.

Part two:

My first office visit I was greeted somewhat friendly..... I had to say hello twice to the lady at the front before she looked up to acknowlege my presence. She was doing nothing at the time so I felt odd that I, the customer not only made initial contact, but that I had to say hello 2X. The nurse took my dog and I into a nice room within a nice facility and my dog leaked in three spots, two of which were next to the patient sit-down bench where my feet would be and where my dog would sit down in her own pee. Then a third spot had pee as well. My dog was diagnosed with kidney disease and I brought her there for incontinence, so minor leaking of a "nervous" dog was very-natural. After blood was drawn and as I wanted to sit back down for what was to be a 20 minute time period to do the blood work testing, I had to call the nurse back into the room to mop up the pee & she had already said she would take care of it. Again, it was I that had to go out of the way after waiting for what would seem natural for a staff member to immediately mop up urine off of the floor after waiting over a minute while I heard her talking in the lab room to the doctor about this and that and completely blowing off any duty to keep the room clean for my dog and I.

The same nurse told me in an argumentative fashion at the proceedings of "all of this today" that I did not need a prescription for the dog food I was seeking. I made it very clear to her that I did need a prescription and she argued with me and then had the nerve to say that if my dog did not eat the other two brand prescription foods that she completely turned down for two days, that I was going to have to go back to what my dog was eating, Purina Dog Chow. This is after the Veterinarian told me more than four days prior that my dog's life was SOLELY DEPENDENT on prescription dog food for her to live as full of a life as she possibly could.

Needless to say I wrote a ton...but this is a very true representation of the service, attitudes, & friendliness, that I encountered. The doctor seems very intelligent but isn't like other vets I've known in the past that are extremely friendly to animals. He was 'all business' as they say & monotone. He did diagnose my vet correctly so I will give this clinic one star.
