I took my dog in about 1.5 yrs ago because he needed urgent medical attention. I showed up for my appointment eager to get him treated. The vet never touched my dog. The only thing he cared about was jabbing my dog with another rabies vax. I said that's not what I'm here for today. He said then I can't help you. I said so you refuse to treat my dog because I won't let you "vax" him? He said yes. I said OK, we're leaving then. I took him out north to a very compassionate and caring vet who is now our regular. Fast forward to today, 8/15/23. I had to put my (same) baby down today. Our new, wonderful vet assisted us. Unfortunately, Twin Cities is the only pet crematory in the peninsula. My new vet called Twin Cities to get a cost and said we had an outstanding balance. It had to be satisfied before they would take our baby. So, I called and asked what the outstanding amount was for. She said it was for the visit from 1.5 yrs ago. I said I'm appealing that charge because the vet refused to treat my baby. She agreed to reduce the fee to a $30-no-show fee. I said I still want you to waive it. She refused and said if I did not pay, I could never use them for anything again. I said I would NEVER use you for treatment of any of my pets ever again, but I have 3 other little heartbreakers at home and will one day need cremation services for them. So, I reluctantly agreed to pay the $30 on top of the cremation. I demanded a letter from her about why she was still charging me. When I showed up, she said she would give me the letter when I picked up his ashes. I said you'll get your $30 then. She said then you cannot leave him. I said then I want my letter now. She said, “so you want me to drop what I'm doing to write you a letter?” I said YES. So, she did. And I made them write PAID IN FULL on my receipt. I did not want them to have any reason not to give me my babies ashes. I cannot believe the lack of compassion from her! She proceeded to stand there and wanted to drill into me their policies and wanted me to be ok with it... I said I don't want to talk about it anymore. I just want to go home and grieve for my baby. She kept on. I said what do you want from me?! She said I just don't want you to be upset. Seriously?!!! I just lost my baby and you're beating me over the head with policy? Heartless!! I'm sure once they see this review, they will ban me from cremation services now too.

They would never suggest that I buy something that wasn't necessary, and never pressured me. They were always very considerate and professional. This veterinarian was so compassionate when my pet was sick. I can tell that they really cared about my pet's well-being and reassured me that things would be alright. The vets and staff here were so nice and helpful; I have already told my loved ones that they should start coming here. One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time. Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately.
