Daniel Best was born in Southern California, and worked as an accountant in Santa Ana until 1996. A passion for science and a strong desire to help people led him to pursue further education at Ohio State University, where he completed a bachelors degree in biology followed by a doctorate in Optometry in 2004. Dr. Best was thrilled to relocate to Bellingham with his wife and son, and cherishes living close to the mountains, ocean and spectacular outdoor beauty of the Pacific Northwest. When hes not testing eyes, youll find Dr. Best playing golf and tennis, hiking, kayaking, reading, listening to his favorite jazz and engaged in volunteer child advocacy work. Dr Best is currently an adjunct professor at Pacific State University. Dr. Best currently sees patients at our Bellingham, Mount Vernon and Whidbey Island clinics.
