My grandmother was transfered here from another facility without my knowing. She passed away and I did not find out until 2 months later. As her grand daughter and power of attorney I should have been the first to know. When I called there looking for assurance that she was taken care of and an answer to why I was not notified I received rudeness and defensiveness. An employee lied and told the mortuary that she was the niece. I was told that they knew nothing of legal paperwork and did not know how to get in touch with me. The first facility called me several times giving me updates on Grandma's status and notifying me of holiday events. As a nurse I know how a chart follows a patient from one facility to the next and the paperwork that is required of the family. How did they get away with this level of deceit?
