I was a member of the athletic club for over 4 years until today when my membership was canceled without notice. This gym is not what you may think. Many of the staff are friendly, but the management is non-existent and does not consider you a priority. My membership was revoked because I felt the need to report an incident in which another gym member went off on me while working out. The management did not care at all. They told me to never call about minor issues such as that. It wasn't minor to me. I am a woman and will not tolerate being yelled out by an adult male while working out. However, this gym will tolerate it. I have tried to reach the owner but no luck. It would be great to be able to talk directly with him. I urge anyone who is considering the fort smith athletic club to look elsewhere for their fitness needs. While it may be pleasing to the eye by its looks, what is lies underneath is a management team not suited to handle the customer service side of a gym. If there were ever a red flag about becoming a member of this gym, this is it.
The restrooms at this office were spotless. It smelled amazing in there and looked immaculate. They are always polite and never use foul language, which I really appreciate. It's always made me uncomfortable at other places when I've heard them use foul language, but they don't here. I know I can bring my kids, and not worry about it. One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time. I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs.
