I used Blue Valley Mental Health a few years ago in an effort to get back my FAA medical certificate after a conviction for cultivation of cannabis. After endless alcohol films and meetings there was finally one film on marijuana. The message consisted of a series of convicts pointing out that all of their problems started with marijuana. This 1970's film ended with the Dr. pointing out that marijuana will cause male users to develop breasts. So much for current and realistic information. Having spent much time and money on my "rehabilitation" and completing all my requirements by the FAA I was surprised and disappointed to receive a letter denying my medical for not "complying with said requests." In disgust I wrote off the FAA as a government agency and continued my life. A year or two later my wife and I again used Blue Valley Mental Health for marriage counseling. In the second meeting our counselor had retrieved my records and informed me that Blue Valley had NEVER SENT ANYTHING TO THE FAA! He asked if I would like him to try to correct it and I said no. The FAA was no longer part of my life and it would be like starting from scratch. Also, I am still enjoying cannabis as I always have in a responsible manner. Still no breasts. Blue Valley Mental Health wasted my time and hundreds of dollars. I hope people with serious problems get the help they need.
