I felt slightly uncomfortable throughout my appointment with this counselor because my former partner was very convincing at displaying victim and she bought into this. Although there were times she called him on his behaviors, it was quickly dismissed and the attention of my reaction of what he was doing became greater than what he was doing to create friction and turmoil within the family. When I saw Laura independently, she was much better at seeing the real whole picture and more understanding without the back/forth negative banter from the ex. I recommend her yes, but independently instead of in pairs. I thought it was nice that they supplied a good quality chair for me to sit in during our session. I was comfortable the entire time. I was never interrupted while I was talking with them. They made sure I was able to talk about my situation without interference, other than from the ex. I like how this therapist is a good listener. It's not just them talking at us; they actually listen to what we have to say. They answer the phone right away and I don't think I have ever been put on hold here for a long time. I am so impressed with how quickly all of my questions are answered.
