My experience covered two separate periods of counseling with Ms. Jacobson. Each time period was over the course of a year or longer each, and I wish I had been able to see her for a longer length of time. For me, she was fantastic, helpful and gave me immeasurable help. She is kind of tough, and firm in a way, also in appointments starting and appointments ending. She is organized and I think runs a very efficient practice. I am certain she adjusts for each patient's needs, for me it was about strong boundaries, and self accountability. So frustrating, but I knew then she was being that way for me to get stronger. In so many ways I recommend her, wish I could have more sessions with her. When I saw her, she did not work with the insurance companies ( I found the best therapists do not), but was very helpful in getting appointment records and things to me to submit for reimbursement. Overall, she will give you back as much as you put in. I was a tough cookie at the beginning, and she just quietly persevered till I started to get it. Very high respect for her.
