In her early 20s, Pamela Holtzman received a diagnosis of life-threatening cancer and realized that her health could not be taken for granted. That began her in-depth study of the various components of daily living that would enable her to achieve and maintain her goal of living a healthy lifestyle. Through the experience of her early life crisis, Pamela learned how to listen to and care for her body through healthy eating, daily meditation, and regular exercise. She shares her knowledge with others so they, too, can experience a more balanced and happy life.
Pamela began her professional life as a registered nurse, caring for patients in hospice. She has spent the majority of her 25-year career as a Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP), psychotherapist and personal care advocate, providing professional services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Pamela has a multi-faceted orientation based on the foundations of meditation, stress management and visualization. Among the approaches utilized, individually or in combination, are cognitive therapy, trauma release with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Integrative Family Systems Therapy.
As an author and the creator of the Healthy Lifestyle Program, a 5-week wellness program for cancer patients, Pamela has traveled across the country over the past 10 years facilitating wellness related activities, including professional speaking engagements, workshops, and teaching the principles from her program and book.
