Dear Dr. Beard,
You MAY remember my husband, Donald Richard Molzen and me (I go by, Joy Jeffrey.) We ended up with FOUR West Highland Terriers and you were their veterinarian. Westie, Eastie, Darbie and the baby, Darsie. You are HIGHLY recommended by me.
Rick and I owned a home in Albuq. N.M. We LOVED our peaceful, harmonious, love filled home on the side of a mt. in Vernon, where we lived for ten years! You were SO good, allowing Eastie and Westie (They were soul mates) on the same examining table at the same time Etc., so you MAY remember the six of us! I am the only ONE left.
Rick and I drove to Albuq. often for our medical care, staying in the home I bought in 1977, where I live now. We came over to Albuq. for JUST two days on a Thanksgiving week (2014), planning to return before Thanksgiving to the peaceful Vernon home. On Tues. before, "Thanksgiving Thurs." of that week, my PRECIOUS Rick (His middle name) was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme (Malignant brain tumor). He died a horrible death with terrible suffering and extremely poor Hospice Care. I was alone with him during the holidays, ALL alone with him. He died on Dec.30th! He would never let go, "Looking at me while he TRIED to stay alive to take care of me!" I, all alone, had to watch him take his last 6 breaths, his not wanting to die, & completely conscious! On July 15 of THIS month I had to put Westie down due to fluid build up around his lungs due to an enlarged heart Etc. We had had his teeth cleaned by you. I paid a veterinarian here for TWO operations to have 13 teeth extracted. Westie was born in 2004. Westie's soul mate, Eastie, got sick 2 years ago & I spent thousands of dollars trying to save her, but I ended up having to have HER put down on 10-28-17. (She was younger). I am GRIEF stricken & will be for the rest of my life over losing Rick and NOW I don't even have a dog to nurture & love. I kept all four dogs together, as a family/pack for 2 years, but I ended up LETTING a couple I had known for 45 years to adopt the baby, Darsie and another (Medical doctor who has three boys) I let have Darbie. She, the doctor, is Darsie's new family's daughter, whom I had known since she was in the 1st grade...she was born in 1965. They are in Dallas in good, forever homes. I don't want to mention them in the forms I have to fill out, that are inquiring about any pets I've had in the last ten years, as it makes it too involved to mention THEM & really (to my mind, unnecessary.) I have had just Westie until this month. My REQUEST is that I would like to put you down as a "recommendation" for my ability to love, protect, and all the necessary reasons to recommend me to be approved as a perfect place for a animal rescue dog to be placed in my home. I KNOW no one here except the two veterinarians (Both Animal Hosps., not clinics) here in Albuq. who put Eastie and Westie down. I would LIKE to put you down to give "ME" a recommendation, as the forms I have to fill out is requesting three people they can check with to verify that an adopted dog would have a loving, caring master IF I am approved. I don't know anyone here in Albuq. except the veterinarians I have used to put Eastie & Westie down. I would like to use you for a recommendation, the woman Veterinarian who put Westie down this month, and a long time friend in Vernon, as the 3 people they want me to list, along with phone #s. The Organization is, I NEED a dog to love, sleep on my bed, to give a "Forever Home", as I am so ALONE. My facebook address is: joylittlefieldjeffrey You can open it and SEE a cover photo of Rick with Westie as a puppy and a little round photo of Westie as an adult dog. I am going to list a gf in Vernon, whom I have known since 2004 for a recommendation, since I no longer know anyone here including my neighbors! I didn't feel comfortable getting a dog at my age, as I am too caring not to worry about what would happen to it if I died, but my son, born in 1965, had a Westie for 18 years. He is like a, "Dog Whisper" and he will take any dog I might be able to adopt as his own if I pass on or get dementia Etc. lol He is going to move (eventually) to the home I own in Vernon and keep any dog I might get as his own, when I do die. Both homes have fenced in yards and doggie doors. My phone number is, 505-933-7061. My son, Bill, has closed down his 40 year Dental Lab in Florida and moved into my home here in Albuq. We think we are interested in a dog named, Molly, whom they have just found out is pregnant, so she won't be up for adoption for at least 8 wks. Bill's cell # is: 561-502-1705
Very Sincerely, Joy Jeffrey Molzen (Donald Molzen on your records for Westie, Eastie, Darbie & Darsie Molzen)
