Life is filled with many up and downs. Sometimes it’s not only a single incident but the accumulation of stress that causes a person to seek help. Optimistic Living Counseling and Services wants to help people thrive under the pressures of life rather than just survive. We incorporate a variety of techniques uniquely chosen to fit each personal need.

EducationMichelle Clark, MA attended Adler Graduate School achieving a Masters of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Certificate as a Parent Coach. Her desire is to assist those who work in the helping fields to thrive as individuals, couples, and/or families. She has done extensive studying on the accumulated and singular trauma in rescue workers and the effects it has on these individuals and the people who love them. Having grown up around Law Enforcement personnel, Veterans, Firefighters and being married to a former Police Officer, she knows all too well the stress and anxiety put on individuals and their families. For this reason, Michelle focused her Master’s Thesis on Helping the Helpers, mainly the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on emergency workers and their families.

ServicesOptimistic Living Counseling and Services is dedicated to helping the helpers and their familys as they serve others. The term helpers includes police officers, firefighters, military personnel, nurses, first responders and ambulance drivers, and therapists, just to name a few. Helper spend their lives dedicated to serving others, sometimes neglecting themselves and their families. The sacrifice for them and their families can then become too much to bear on their own. We would like to help them carry the yoke and let down these burdens.
