Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! My mother had to be taken there because our hospital was full. She got there around 7:00PM. Did not get to a room until 4:30 AM. Did not get breakfast until 10:00 after asking 4 times. Did not see a doctor until 7:00 PM. That doctor ordered another consult doctor to come. That doctor did not come until around 8:00PM the next night, after we had to get administration involved for that to even happen. Some of the people were very nice, but the care was awful. One of her nurses told me on the phone she was too busy to give me any information and she would call back. She never did. I drove down there and she told me she was too busy seeing other patients, and that my mom was stable so she didn’t need the care. Meanwhile, she had pulled her IV out and her catheter. Nobody bothered to tell me that until I mentioned I was concerned about a UTI. She told them her pain was a level 9 and they didn’t give her pain meds. It’s now Saturday. She was brought in on Wednesday. She’s having a procedure this afternoon and I’m sure we will have to wait another 24 hours to get results. That’s day 5!!! For somebody that’s “stable”. Seems like an awful lot of Medicare money being spent, for very poor treatment. The food is terrible, they said they didn’t have my correct phone number even though I confirmed it with multiple people, and they never asked my mom for it. Her bed controls were broken so she couldn’t go up and down without waiting for someone to come do it for her. That’s misery for a person with multiple spine fractures. She was told they would fix it, but they never did. I could never get through to the charge nurse, her calls go straight to voicemail. Administration only got involved after my husband drove down there and demanded to see them. Their phone calls go straight to voicemail, that’s full, so you can’t even leave a message. she had to share a room with somebody that was constantly being taken care of, but she had to ask multiple times for everything, even water.
I was able to relax during my appointment here. Everyone makes sure you are comfortable and at ease. It was nice to see them treat their staff with so much respect. It was obvious that they had a good relationship with all of their staff members. I'd go back if I needed to.
