Cypress Counseling is a naturally empathic therapy practice for adolescents and adults. We believe that people are naturally zestful and filled with joy for life, and that the natural relationship between any two human beings is loving affection, communication and cooperation.

Do you want stronger, clearer and healthier relationships? I am committed to providing services with openness, safety and flexibility. My clients consist mainly of couples wanting more intimacy and connection. I also work with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual individuals. In addition, I work with clients who are experiencing or wanting a change or transition in their career, family or relationships.

I have 20 years experience working in clinical, non-profit, residential and criminal justice settings. I have specific post graduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy with individuals and couples from the Washington School of Psychiatry. My practice is also influenced by Eastern Spiritual Traditions, Mindfulness, and Wilderness Adventures.

We are conveniently located on Main Street in the fan district with easy parking and on the bus line. Also, we work with those with and without insurance using a flexible sliding scale.

I was disappointed. I have had good luck with her before but she is inconsistent, doesn't remember what we talked about and seems distracted, scattered, and disinterested. If I was seeing her for self-esteem problems, you can imagine this didn't help.

Calm and quiet, the office made me feel at home and welcome. Chris is wonderful to talk to, and helped me get an appointment as soon as possible. After dealing with so many offices telling me that I couldn't see someone for weeks, it was great to get so much positive help when I needed it. I would highly recommend her.
