Stay away from Liz Geldmacher, LCSW. She was my therapist and was supposed to be knowledgeable in trauma but ended up harming me and causing more trauma. She hasn’t done her own work on her own past and therapist’s need to do that in order to be effective with their clients; otherwise unchecked countertransference will happen as it did with me. She was not honest with me and in the end of my treatment was unethical which caused me additional trauma that has resulted in additional PTSD symptoms. I went to her to be helped not to be harmed. Ask to be transferred if you end up with her or seek help elsewhere. Listen to your gut when it tells you something isn’t right with this therapist. It’s important that therapist’s do their own work before trying to help others. Run from this one.
