I think therapy is about change. Sometimes the change is simply accepting yourself more. Sometimes it's changing your situation. A lot of times it's changing how you work with your situation (relationships, finances, and your own emotions). I love to work with clients who are hungry for change. Together we can figure out HOW to get you that change. Like most therapists, I enjoy working on relationship issues. I probably enjoy more than most working on how to deal with your emotions (how can I best handle my anger? vulnerability?) and on self-acceptance.
My specialty isn't a particular concern, such as divorce or obsession, but a way of working in therapy. I have a lot of training in experiential therapies, and I enjoy working with what's happening for you right in the moment during a session--emotions and sensations.
I'm relaxed, maybe even casual, in style. I have a background in philosophy and enjoy ideas, but I find the most powerful parts of therapy usually happen when we're very focused on feeling. I really enjoy supporting my clients' creativity. For more, check out website.
