I was scheduled to see George Lazar by the Texas Disability Determination services for a comprehensive Clinical Psychological Evaluation. The session started off by George making a series of statements about the events that led to my injury and wanted me to acknowledge and agree that is the reason I was there to a determination on my cognitions and state of mind. However, the statements he had made very inaccurate, so I attempted to correct him on events that he had a misunderstanding or perhaps didn't thoroughly review the facts of the case. He got very angry and spent 5-7 minutes telling me to just say "yes or no" not to elaborate and waste time. He said he would be giving me an IQ test and test my cognitions. Throughout the next 45 min I was there he had me look at a random picture, remove it and me draw what he showed me. The few questions he asked about my mental state of mind he made sure to say if I answered "yes" he would be required to report it, so made sure to redirect my answers to "no" reminding me there is another patient waiting for the next appointment, so we needed to get done quickly. I was very surprised at how rude, unprofessional, and pretentious acting he was. I have never had an experience like that, especially with a so called "professional." He never even gave me the IQ test he first said was one of the main objectives and am very curious how any conclusions can be made from the completely unrelated few activities he had me do one of them having me bark like dog for "association" purposes. I am just leaving an honest review of what occurred, didn't occur, and how I felt during and after the interaction.
My opinion if you are seeking professional help for addiction / substance abuse psychologist, health service psychologist, clinical psychologist, etc. I would highly advise to find another psychologist who has your best interest as the objective. I honestly am shocked he is licensed to practice had I will be passing this information on to the state psychology licensing board.

Awful! Absolutely terrible! Waited over an hour because no one was in the office. He was very short with me. Didn't seem concerned with what I had to say. Office staff (his wife) was rude and very unapologetic. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS QUACK!
