Joan Fleischmann Naini, PHD
I specialize in neuropsychological assessment of difficult cases, due to my extensive background in education and neuropsychology. I also see children/adolescents and families for cognitive behavior and behavior based psychotherapy. I was Director of Psychological Assessment at the Mailman Center at University of Miami School of Medicine and a professor in the Dept. of Neurology at UM. I have also worked as a teacher, supervisor of student teachers, and consultant in various schools and programs. My patients typically range from 2 years old to students working on graduate degrees, but I also at times see adults who are facing difficulties due to neurological injuries, attention problems, or emotional difficulties. I work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD spectrum of all ages. I also have been very successful in obtaining necessary accomodations for college and work.
