Dr. Karen Milo has been providing a full range of psychological services in the Tampa Bay region for the past 20 years. She specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy and health psychology.
Dr. Milo completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Florida State University and residency and fellowship at the University of South Florida (U.S.F.) in the College of Medicine. She taught and practiced at U.S.F. in the Psychiatry & Behavioral Medicine Department and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center for 13 years prior to co-founding the Psychology Center of Tampa Bay, where she now practices full-time.
ServicesIn addition to treating the most common problems that lead people to seek therapy such as depression and anxiety, Dr. Milo has special expertise in treating people with health and medical problems including eating disorders, obesity, chronic pain, chronic illness (heart disease, cancer, MS, etc.) and chronic insomnia. Dr. Milo also provides pre-surgical psychological testing for medical patients. She gained extensive health/medical psychology experience at Tampa VA Hospital, Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa General Hospital Sleep Disorders program, St. Joseph's Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation program, and USF's eating disorders, obesity, movement disorders and behavioral medicine programs.Additional ServicesPsychologist
