We live in a complicated, difficult world. A lot of pressure. To succeed – be on your way to the top in your field. To be happy. To be cool. To be married or at least have a significant other. To be there for your friends. To stop quarreling with your parents or siblings. And it seems as though everyone else has it all, or a significant part of it, and you don’t. And you can’t figure out why. You want things to be great, and because they’re not, you’re anxious or depressed a lot of the time. Your self-esteem is spiraling down. Talking through these issues and figuring out how you get in your own way of getting what you want is what I can help you with. I can provide insight – ways to look at things that you hadn’t thought of before. Make that little light bulb go off. And slowly begin to turn things around so that at least they’re headed in the right direction. There’s no magic. Therapy does require a commitment to the process and a willingness to step out of your comfort zone and try new ways of approaching your life. No big leaps, but small steps in a new direction. And the more you do it, the easier it will get. Therapy can work, but you have to give it a try.
