My Mother's experience at Dr. Canter's office.
My mother who is legally blind went to see Dr Canter, he was referred to her by my Sister-In-law. Unfortunately my Mother never saw Dr. Canter. She did have a terrible and upsetting experience with the receptionist who bullied and yelled at her and basically ran her off. The receptionist was rude and would not assist my Mother in any way filling out forms (my Mother was unable to read the small lettering). The receptionist told my Mother she would have to reschedule her appt. and bring someone with her to help her with the forms. My Mother traveled from Ragersville using the senior service van and she explained this to the receptionist and that it wasn't easy for her to make another appt. The receptionist told her that the doctor was a very busy chiropractor and that my Mother should find another Chiropractor in town. my Mother than asked the receptionist to please dial senior services so she could be picked up (she has their card which has enlarged numbers so my Mother can see it). The receptionist dialed the number and said to my Mother "you can't fill out the form but you sure could see the number on the card". I find this very upsetting and agree with my Mother that she was discriminated against by the receptionist because of her vision disability. I'm writing this review for her in hopes that Dr. Canter will see it and know how his receptionist is treating potential patients. Just an fyi to the doctor, my Mother is filling a complaint with the better business bureau. If it were my business, I would want to know how your front desk is treating clients.
