I took my dog in for an exam at North Penn Veterinary Hospital on Thursday. The doctor literally looked at my dog for less than two minutes. I was charged $45 for an office call / exam in which he squeezed the small lump on my dog's chest. That is it. He barely touched my dog. He said that she had to have surgery. That afternoon I was told by their office that my dog needed two immunizations before they could do the sugery. I was quoted a cost of $62.50 for two shots. I took my dog to another vet who charged only $37 for the shots. Not only did my dog get her shots, but the vet who gave them to her checked her teeth, ears, eyes, and other things without additional costs. I called and spoke with the vet at North Penn afterwards expressing my concerns with his lack of service, and to request a refund. He yelled at me and then hung up the phone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET! You are better off going ANYWHERE else. I also found out that my dog doesn't need surgery.
