This clinic is only open on weekends, I believe Friday 8pm thru Monday 8am. If a holiday falls on the weekend, they are open then, too. We have visited here with two of our three dogs on three different occasions. On all three visits, they were busy, but every staff member was professional & polite, & seemed to be working hard to get to everyone as quickly as possible. Cases are prioritized as new patients arrived; & everyone is updated if the order of treatment changes because a sicker animal comes in; exactly how an ER should operate. Once our pets were seen, a diagnosis was made quickly & treatment options discussed with us. They are able to do blood tests, ultrasounds, & even surgery right there, of course, they ask you first & tell you how much it will cost for each test. If we were unsure which option to try, we were given time to make a decision with no pressure or judgement of our decision. If it is the end of your pet's life, they will put you in a comfortable, private room, where they will euthanize your pet on the couch in your lap if that is what you want. You are given as much time as you need to say goodbye. They even wrapped our dog in a shroud, and carried her to our car from a back door, so as not to upset others in the waiting room!
This is a top-notch operation. the staff is truly caring and professional. We wish they operated a well animal clinic, as well. We think we are fortunate to have this level of care for our pets here in Salisbury.
