A long-time dream of Dr. Corey's, Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital has been a part of the Broadlands Community in Northern Virginia since the year 2000. Our small business seems to have grown by leaps and bounds each year, much like the region that we're so proud to be a part of. However, we've worked hard over the years to uphold our motto: Modern Medicine, Hometown Hospitality. Our business space is a refurbished farm home, a vestige of our area's hometown heritage, and a sign, we hope, of the core community values that have become such an important component of our everyday working philosophy.

Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for your pets' complete health care needs. The practice is a growing multi-doctor practice with plans to expand its facility. Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital focuses on small animal, avian, and exotic companion pets, with services including the following:
Specialist Consultations--Our relationships with area specialists broaden and deepen Stream Valley's reach, including orthopedics, ophthalmology, oncology, and internal medicine to name a few.
Ultrasound Services--Also called sonograph, ultrasonogram, and echogram, our in-house ultrasound (U/S) instrumentation helps us diagnose the more complicated cases, and the instrument's digital nature facilitates our consultations with specialists.
Digital Radiology Services--Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality digital radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
Electrocardiography Services--Stream Valley provides ECG services on-site that, like U/S described above, connect our consulations to the cardiology specialists.
Digital Dentistry--Our dental services include digital dental X-rays, teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions, and minor oral surgery.
In-house Laboratory--Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, cytology, urinalysis, and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Permanent Identification--We offer HomeAgain microchip identification.
Pharmacy--We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products, and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
Online Pharmacy & Diets--Stream Valley plans to introduce in the near future the convenient option of ordering prescription diets and medication refills online that will then be delivered to your home.
Individualized Flea Control Programs--We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house and on your pet.
Dietary Nutritional Counseling--We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs that may consist of prescription diets for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance, and performance.
Behavioral Counseling--We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling, and aggression. More importantly, we offer on-site basic puppy and larger dog obedience classes, along with beginning agility for fun and exercise.
Bathing--Therapeutic and routine bathing services are available.
Ancillary Services:
Emergency Care--Late night care (by a staff member who lives nearby) allows more advanced, in-hospital cases, which leads to better medicine. Further, Stream Valley accesses the three local 24-hour critical care centers. House Calls--Our hospital staff will provide many services, including in-home euthanasia, at your home by arrangement. Again, call the Stream Valley main telephone number for more information.
Boarding--We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday, with additional pick-up hours on Sunday evenings.
Doggie Daycare--Our kennel also hosts Doggie Daycare Monday through Friday. Please give us a call to set up a meeting with our staff and to create your pet's daycare schedule.
