Cathy Kriss is an unqualified and unprofessional therapist who just wants to get paid cash. She was assigned to my family to improve the child estrangement situation. But thanks to her “opinions”, I ended up losing my child. Cathy Kriss refused to listen to two other therapists involved. She was only interested in one person’s opinion - the other parent who was arrested for domestic violence. Even after I shared with her police reports documenting the abuse, she still did not believe me and sided with the other parent. I spent thousands of dollars (insurance did not cover her sessions) so my estranged child could complain to her about me and make up stories that never happened. She never reached out to me to verify if any of the stories were true. She just documented everything verbatim and presented it to the guardian ad litem as the ultimate truth. After spending $30,000 on the first court hearing and no improvement in the situation, thanks to her recommendations, I would have had to spend another $30,000 trying to prove to the court this person’s analysis is unsubstantiated. She should be barred from practicing and specifically be involved in any child custody cases. She did so much harm..... it makes me wonder how she can live with herself knowing how destructive her therapy is.
