Only see this counselor if you want to waste your time,money, and life. Seriously. He is a "Jungian", that is, a follower of the philosophy of Carl Jung, but for this therapist, it is more important that a client develop an academic grasp of Jung's ideas rather than process his or her personal issues; you might as well just go to the library then. If you show up feeling depressed, Jay Lewis will just stare blankly at you and tell you to "stay with the feeling", without helping you understand what is causing the depression, since he regards even a healing self-awareness as an "escape" from "pain" on par with beer or dope. He was referred to me by a woman who virtually regarded him as a god -- an idolization he encouraged, or at the least, did not discourage -- and she wound up joining the ranks of the homeless mentally ill.
